  • Do NOT write out the prompt/question before addressing it!

  • What are two (2) important points being made by Mr. Sinek in his talk? Do NOT tell us what the video is about (we all watched it); simply tell us what 2 key points you learned from it.
  • Reflecting on your own purchasing habits, discuss how the principles presented by Mr. Sinek relate to you personally as a consumer. Provide a specific example of a time you were influenced to make a purchase because a company used these principles.
  • If you were marketing yourself to a company during an interview, what would be your personal sales pitch, WORD FOR WORD, based on the principles presented by Mr. Sinek? One or two concise sentences will work for this.

Economics Discussion – Every decision has an Opportunity

Economics Discussion Post

Every decision has an Opportunity Cost due to the nature of scarcity, there is always a better alternative not chosen, therefore, there is always an opportunity cost. “The opportunity cost of an alternative is what you give up to pursue it” (Froeb, McCann,Shor & Ward, 2016). When you go to a Maroon 5 concert, you give up $100 of benefits you would have received if you had gone to a Beyoncé concert. Also, you would also avoid $80 of cost for the Beyoncé concert. According to the definition below, the opportunity cost of seeing Maroon 5 concert is $100 – $80 = $20.  Please delve into the statement there are always opportunity costs.  How can an individual make the best decision?  Is there a best decision?  Would one miss an opportunity not attending one of the concerts? Include a minimum of one reference.

Theories And Roots For Criminology – How are ideas about the basic

Theories And Roots For Criminology

This first unit introduced you to theories and roots for criminology. Your assignment in this unit presents you with six issues. Please respond to all six issues. Please include a brief introduction, and use Level 1 headings (per APA formatting) to differentiate between the six issues, which are detailed below.

· You were introduced to philosopher Jeremy Bentham and his idea (theory) of utilitarianism in the Required Unit Resources (Chapter 2). Analyze his idea that (1) a nation should do whatever is necessary to lead to the greatest possible happiness for the largest possible number of people in society and the idea that (2) man was a “calculating animal” who would balance pain and suffering versus gain when deciding to commit a criminal act. Do you agree with this? Argue your point using research to support your answer.

· How are ideas about the basic nature of all humans related to the way we determine criminal punishment? Argue the ideas using research to support your answer.

· Identify at least two major contributors to classical thought and their specific contributions to criminological theory. Then, support your responses using research.

· Describe, in your opinion, how a criminal personality is developed. No sources are required for this section.

· Assume class division in society causes crime. What is a viable alternative to this system? Analyze and argue both sides of your proposed solution. In your answer, you should identify five major theoretical approaches to identifying criminal causes of behavior and describe which would support your proposed solution.

· Finally, describe some of the characteristics that make up a good theory.
