Description

The retail store has informed you that no documentation of the current network exists. There are numerous types of data communications that occur in a retail company, and the employees are willing to explain to you what information they work with and the steps that are involved to process the daily business transaction paperwork. Assume that the retail store is currently using open systems interconnection (OSI) and transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) in a dual-stacked environment. This has proven to be memory-intensive and has caused an inability for application internetworking to occur.

Network Reference Model (OSI vs. TCP/IP) Comparison (4–5 pages)

The project deliverables for this week are as follows:

· Create a network reference model diagram of the current network that describes the role of each layer for both OSI and TCP/IP that are used to transmit data between the devices and applications specifically in your retail store.

· Create a revised network reference model diagram of the proposed network solution (using OSI or TCP/IP) that describes the hardware and software that are used to transmit data between the devices and applications in your retail stores.

· Based on the current dual-stacked network environment, create a data flow diagram for both OSI and TCP/IP that shows at least 4 typical network connections that are made by users in your retail store. Show how the data and information flow from the user workstation to the application using both the OSI and TCP/IP network models and the impact of encapsulation.

· Create a  revised data flow diagram based on the proposed network solution that shows at least 4 typical network connections that are made by users in your retail store. Show how the data and information flow from the user workstation to the application using the chosen network model (using OSI  or TCP/IP) and the impact of encapsulation.

· Provide an analysis as to how this part of the project fulfills the mission and 1 or more goals of the case study organization.

· Note: Use Microsoft Visio or equivalent to create the network reference model (current and revised) and data flow (current and revised) diagrams. You will embed the diagrams in the Word document and also provide them as attachments. See your Web resources for additional diagramming tools.

· All sources should be cited both in-text and in References using APA format.

· Name the document “yourname_IT640_IP2.doc”

Write a 700- to 1,050-word analysis of your genogram in which you:

• Analyze your family history to determine how you developed your own racial and cultural identity. Describe how you identify yourself when reflecting on your cultural heritage, age, religious affiliation, socioeconomic status, etc.
• Describe the values, beliefs, philosophies, attitudes, or opinions you hold that are similar to your family. Describe how you came to know these values, beliefs, philosophies, attitudes, or opinions. Determine how they compare to those of the dominant culture.
• Describe the effects of your cultural upbringing on your worldview. Include commentary on your views of help-seeking behaviors in yourself and others.
• Explain how learning about your cultural upbringing can affect your effectiveness as a multicultural counselor.
• Describe how you will consider cultural and contextual differences between you and your clients to be an effective multicultural counselor.
• Identify personal biases, limitations, or prejudices held that may hinder your effectiveness as a counselor.
• Summarize your personal strengths or abilities that may positively influence your effectiveness with diverse clients.
• Describe methods for enhancing multicultural competence in counseling.

Support your analysis with research from a minimum of two peer-reviewed sources.

  This assignment involves relating ethical behaviors in high-profile events, as well as examining regulatory and sustainability market approaches to business’s environmental responsibilities. Read each of the following questions before answering each one within a Word document.

1. Based on the response to Hurricane Katrina, what is the relationship between inefficiency and ethical behavior for leaders? How could the response to the Hurricane Katrina disaster have been more effective, and thus more ethical?  
2. In considering the BP Oil Spill, what circumstances would ethically justify a government or private company in restricting information made available to the public during a disaster? At what point might other companies have an ethical right to intervene regarding environmental disasters?  

In the Word document, list your answers one after the other. Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double-spacing. There is no need to include a title page nor a references page. You are not required to perform research for this assignment; however, if you choose to perform research to answer these questions, use APA style to format your in-text and reference citations.

For Part 2 of Operation Competitor, your team will present a report containing information about your competitor company.

Assignment Details

Your report will include the following;

• Provide an analysis of your chosen competitors’ history of resolving disputes. Please make sure that these are real disputes. I suggest researching companies such as Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and ASUS.
• Propose a framework for how your company will address expected and unexpected disputes. Please include plans for how you would utilize the following to resolve disputes (you may include proposed contract language):
  • Negotiations
  • Arbitration
  • Mediation

Deliverable Requirements

Your report should be at least 5 pages in length. Be sure to cite sources using APA properly; include references and in-text citations. The Title page and Reference page do not count as part of the 5 pages.

Submitting your assignment in APA format means, at a minimum, you will need the following:

• Title page: Remember the running head. The title should be in all capitals.
• Length: 5 pages minimum
• Body: This begins on the page following the title page and must be double-spaced (be careful not to triple- or quadruple-space between paragraphs). The typeface should be 12-pt. Times Roman or 12-pt. Courier in regular black type. Do not use color, bold type, or italics, except as required for APA-level headings and references. The deliverable length of the body of your paper for this assignment is 5 pages. In-body academic citations to support your decisions and analysis are required. A variety of academic sources is encouraged.
• Reference page: References that align with your in-body academic sources are listed on the final page of your paper. The references must be in APA format using appropriate spacing, hanging indent, italics, and uppercase and lowercase usage as appropriate for the type of resource used. Remember, the Reference page is not a bibliography but a further listing of the abbreviated in-body citations used in the paper. Every referenced item must have a corresponding in-body citation.
