Week 4 Discussion – Consider nursing interventions for key health

Week 4 Discussion

This week you will consider nursing interventions for key health concerns in your population. Develop evidence-based, culturally appropriate, measurable (SMART) interventions to help your population members maintain an optimal state of health. Include the 3 levels of prevention (primary, secondary, and tertiary) in your goals. Is there a possibility of changing the behavior or social determinants of health to improve conditions? How would you advocate for this? What type of change might be expected? How will you know when a change has taken place? What might be some obstacles/barriers the population might experience and what would be needed to overcome these?

Discussion – Applications Of Partial Derivatives

Discussion: Applications Of Partial Derivatives

Please research a specific example of an engineering application (or other real-world application) that utilizes partial derivatives (not just derivatives)!

  • In your original post, complete the following:
    • Show us a specific partial derivative–either by including the equation where you see it and identifying it in your own words, or by explaining the partial derivative concept in context  in a very clear way.  You do not need to explain the entire topic, only  identify where you see a partial derivative, and tell us what that  partial derivative means.

All explanations should be in your own words!  Keep your post clear and concise (under 500 words).

MSN55502 Module10 Case Study – Preschool Child: Ricky

MSN55502 Module10 Case Study

MSN 5550 Health Promotion: Prevention of Disease Case Study Module 10 Instructions: Read the following case study and answer the reflective questions. Please provide evidence-based rationales for your answers.

CASE STUDY: Preschool Child: Ricky Ricky, age 4 years, arrives in the clinic with his mother. Ricky lives with his mother and father, who both work full-time, and his infant sister. Their extended family lives in a different state more than 100 miles away. Both parents are of average height and in good health. Ricky’s mother mentions that Ricky often expresses frustration, particularly in regard to food. Conflict over food occurs every day. Mealtime is a battle to get him to eat, unless his mother feeds him. Ricky’s baby sister seems to tolerate all baby foods but requires her mother to spoon-feed. Ricky’s mother is quite frustrated and concerned that he will become malnourished.

Reflective Questions

1. What additional assessment information would you collect?

2. What questions would you ask, and how would you further explore this issue with the mother?

3. In what ways does the distance of the extended family influence this family’s approach to health promotion?

4. What factors would you consider to determine whether malnourishment is a factor in this family?
